IPD and Fire have earned our trust, and It has been an honor reflecting that trust by supporting the Irmo Police Foundation and ensuring their financial needs are met.
One Christmas, Erik felt like there were less lights than usual. He felt like showing appreciation for those who put in the effort, so he created the “Best Holiday Lights” program.
Hundreds of homes in Irmo over the last three years have received this show of appreciation from Erik, who would drive around all December and show his appreciation.
Erik applied for the town, and Irmo was included in the “Working with Tech Startups” group alongside Las Vegas, Raleigh, and others. This program helped town staff find innovative ways to use technology to solve challenges.

Supported personally, on council, and promoted the wonderful skate park program, in coordination with local churches, helping kids find a potential new hobby and and outlet for boredom.
Not just during campaign season
Moving beyond social media, Erik held a “conversation” with residents about roadway safety. This resulted in the placement of the 4-way stop on Royal Tower and Chadford.
This has resulted in slower traffic, less speeding, and better flow of traffic.
Erik supported the American Legion’s efforts to create a community of veterans, and currently serves as the Commander of the Sons of the American Legion
